WILLS AND PROBATE

Will

If you have recently purchased property and have assets of any value, you should consider either making a Will or revising the terms of your existing Will.  Making a will allows the transfer of your estate to your family and friends in accordance with your wishes.

At Frank Ward & Co we provide comprehensive advice on all matters related to making a Will to include:

  •   Changing an existing Will
  •   The appointment of executors
  •   Mitigation of tax implications of a Will
  •   Setting up a Trust where you have children under 18 or with special needs
  •   Appointment of Guardians
  •   Dealing with foreign property

Probate

After the passing of a loved one it can be a difficult time for family members to take the necessary steps towards extracting a Grant of Probate.  A Grant is usually necessary to deal with the assets of a deceased person.  At Frank Ward & Co we provide comprehensive and sympathetic advice in assisting and advising a Personal Representative in preparing the Inland Revenue Affidavit and preparing the papers necessary to extract a Grant. .

Where a person dies without having made a Will, strict rules in the Succession Act 1965 deal with how the Estate is divided. We will advise family members on the steps necessary to extract a Grant of Administration.
